The dirt car park will be closed off tomorrow!

Monday 12th November, 2018.
Dear Parent/Caregivers,
I have some very exciting and long awaited news for you all – Grovely stage School car park will commence this week.  Whilst exciting, we will endeavour to manage the short term inconvenience and seek your patience during the period of construction.  The stop, drop and go zone will be ready for the 2019 school year.
Within the community I have liaised with community businesses for other areas for parents/carers of Grovely State School to park or drop of your kids our students.
These options include:
·       Arana Leagues Club have offered for parents/carers to utilise their carparks.
·       Access to our school via the oval eg. Bruce Smith Park
·       Madsen Street parking
I would encourage for this period of time:
·       Car pooling
·       Walking if/when possible
·       Using the oval entrance to the school
The top carpark will need to remain strictly for staff only as there will be periods that the existing bitumen car park near GPAC will be closed. These updates will be posted on the website and Facebook when I am aware.
It is a timely reminder with this temporary change to be mindful of existing council rules around our area and surrounds. There will also be a need to be hyper vigilant with safety around the roads whilst it is important all the time and particularly during the changes.
This will be an inconvenience to everyone’s routine however I anticipate it will be in the long run a wonderful gain for our school. Thankyou Mark Furner for the financial support for our community and Grovely State School.
Yours in anticipation,
Leanne Duncan
