Our Program
At YMCA OSHC Grovely, We strive to implement an inclusive program that supports children's well-being, development and learning. We offer a range of experiences for the children to learn through hands on exploration. Some of these areas are Imagination Station, Arts & Crafts, Cooking, Music & movement, Group learning, Spontaneous play, indoor play, outdoor play, loose parts play and more. Are program is an emergent program that is based on the children's ideas, interests, parent/guardian input, and lastly input from the community. Our program aligns with the school values, positive behaviour strategies, with the YMCA and service mission statement, Philosophy, values, the National Quality Framework and lastly the 'My Time Our Place' educational principles to develop appropriate and engaging activities for children in our care.
Vacation Care
Each day is unique with its own theme and range of fun activities to keep the kids entertained. We aim to create a holiday experience for all children through a range of activities including excursions, incursions and theme days.
Menu
Our menu is based on the children's favourite foods. Each week the children write the menu inline with the Nutrition Australia and PONASH healthy eating guidelines. YMCA OSHC respects and understand different cultures when it comes to food choices and will endeavour to provide alternatives wherever possible. YMCA OSHC caters for a range of allergy and is a nut free and egg free service.
Our service displays our menu weekly in the kitchen or on the Family Noticeboard.
Families should feel free to share concerns or feedback regarding food and nutrition with the Coordinator.
